I see I still have no followers. Probably because I suck at updating my blog! News: I am on the path to a Vegan diet. I can't reconcile the eating of flesh any longer. It's hard, but I can do it! If anyone reads, please let me know? UPDATE January 1, 2018: Transition to Vegan was an epic fail. BUT, I DID manage to eliminate beef and pork.

Goodnight, my sweet Siggie...and see you later Pop.
Siggie has left me for the Rainbow Bridge. He passed away on February 15, 2012 at the age of 11 years.
I miss him terribly.
What a blessing he was to me. Such a cuddle bug. The group dynamic with the remaining 4 cats has changed, and it's just not the same anymore....although Guinevere is STILL as intolerant of Travis as she ever was. Surprisingly, Travis does NOT like the babycat. Kimiko joined the pride in December 2011.
My Pop passed away December 26, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Rest in peace, Daddy, and save me a seat at the banquet table!

Lunch is almost over
I literally have 10 minutes to write this and get back to work!
I'm reading a book titled "Orthodoxy and Heterodoxy". Very interesting. It explains Orthodoxy and compares it to everything else -- so it defines what Orthodoxy agrees with in other denominations as well as what Orthodoxy does NOT agree with.
When I'm done with this one, I'm going to tackle the biography of Father Seraphim Rose. It's thick. But I'm looking forward to it!
My "boys" are sleeping on the bed behind me....the "girls" are in the other room. I think Travis and Siggie just want to keep an eye on me! LOL
Hugs!

Too cool
Just for fun, I was poking around on facebook and I decided to send a short note to Michael O'Leary, who used to play Rick Bauer on The Guiding Light. This daytime soap was my absolute favorite, and I followed it for over 30 years, beginning in the mid 70's, when I would watch it after school with my mother. I didn't send him a friend request or anything (I don't want to come across like some crazy stalker fan) but I DID tell him how much I missed seeing him on GL. I actually got a note back! Pretty cool! I told him he should have a fans page, because I can't possibly be his only fan.

Wow.
I really continue to amaze myself as to how terrible I am at updating this blog.
Anyway -- Our transition to inclusion in ROCOR is complete! Who would have ever thought that a dyed-in-the-wool, born and raised Protestant would ever wind up as an Orthodox Catholic Christian? What a journey this has been! Baptized as an infant in the United Church of Christ, then raised in the Presbyterian Church USA, having a salvation experience and attending the Assemblies of God, rebaptized, Married in the Charismatic Episcopal Church, switching to Church of God, and finally landing at my current Parish of Christ the King in Tullytown, PA. Finally home!
I lost one of my furbabies in December to liver failure. My poor Sammi-kins. I miss her terribly, but I still have her brofurs and sisfurs to amuse me. Her littermate is handling the loss well, and Guinevere is a happy girl. She has tried to take her sisfur's place as my cuddle-kitty-girl.
The company I work for sent all claims and phone people to work from home. My first full day home was the same day I had to put my Sammi to sleep. I will miss her forever.
If anyone is out there -- what's new with you?
